Therapy for School Aged Children
Children see the world and interpret the world vastly differently than adults. How children learn to cope with struggles around life's experiences can set the trajectory of how they manage stressors their whole life! My focus, in addition to processing these experiences, includes teaching kids easy and realistic skills to regulate their emotions in a healthy way. Further, teaching children to manage distressful situations by gaining skills to tolerate life's ups and downs, are skills they can utilize their whole lives! Lastly, teaching foundational skills so children can develop healthy communication skills, whether it be with peers or adults, will help reduce conflict with others.

Therapy for Tweens, Teens & Adolescents
Welcome! My passion lies in helping children and adolescents grow through difficult situations or issues that arise in their lives. I am an independently licensed clinical social worker (LCSW), and addiction counselor candidate. Further, I am endorsed by the Colorado Department of Education as a school social worker, so I work well with all children and adolescents, including those who are differently abled!

My therapeutic approach is what one would describe as eclectic, integrative, or holistic. Meaning I pull from various therapeutic models! Unfortunately, there is no “one size fits all” when it comes to therapeutic interventions, so I have found it is in the best interest of my clients to tailor my approach to each of my clients’ individual needs. A few methods and foundations I often find myself gravitating to in sessions include, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), narrative therapy, and at times, interpersonal therapy. However, it should be noted that research has shown that the most IMPORTANT factor in therapy is not necessarily the techniques or approaches used, it is the interpersonal connection you have with your therapist. Please note that I utilize both a trauma-informed and trauma-focused approach with all clients.
